Bush is so funny. :D
About the drugs question, Bush said he will speed the generic drugs to marketplace, but he him self was against the legislation Bill that would eased access to generic drugs. Another flip flop.
"I heard theres rumours on the internets"
I guess you can add "s" to anything, eh?
Kerry won this debate by even more than the first. Bush was better but he was too confrontational and arrogant for me. He was always smirking at whatever Kerry had to say and he seemed to be getting a little angry while Kerry seemed cool and collected. W just got cornered, on the imporation of drugs question. Rule 1) Don't fight the moderator or he will ask questions that make you look bad.
I actually thought Kerry came across as very likeable, something he had difficulty doing it. Kerry had answers for everything. And several times made Bush look a fool by knocking down Bush's talking points before they even got out there. I've been leaning towards Kerry the entire time but after this debate I can say Kerry has my vote without a doubt.
www.electoral-vote.com has Kerry ahead and above the 270 needed for election today. Whether that's accurate/reliable or not, it's still a massive change from where it stood a few weeks ago. Republicans can smell The White House slipping through their fingers. ;)
bush-kerry a tie in second debate…
These debates wont mean much and neither will your vote once the us forces declare that they've got obl. its oct 9 today and elections are on nov 2 - this leaves a period of around 3 weeks. i say they'll announce his capture near the 2nd week. and when that happens just watch the "vote" swing

I am not sure that undecided voters are that stupid to fall for that October surprise. Since there is so much talk about this surprise, it will be hard to fool any one now. If no one would have talked about the surprise, and Bush had staged the capture of obl then it would have been a different story.
Snap-polls after the debate by CNN and ABC, gave Kerry a slight lead, but essentially a statistical tie.
I thought Kerry was about the same... assured, confident and poised.
Bush avoided the smirks, though when he'd be looking at Kerry, he'd flutter his eyes and had such monkey-like expressions on his face, that it invariably brought a smile to my face.
In the broader scheme of things, it is not important who "won" the debate. Nor is it important how many Americans currently support either of the candidates, bcz we all know popular vote doesn't mean much while electing the President. Its the electoral college votes that count, and that means the focus should be on key swing states, that make or break a President. The real impact of these debates will truly only be known on Novermber 2nd, when we will find out whether either candidate swung enough undecided voters on his side, in those swing states, to make the difference.
There are rumours of Bush having a radio transmitter on his back. Ppl noticed that there was a bulge in his coat in the at the center of the back. Interestingly, some say it existed even in the first debate and also some other occassions.

If its all true does it mean, Dubya is so dumb that the White House came up with real time helper for President to answer the questions :smack:
Great debate i have to say - Bush was a thousand times better than he was in the past debate - Kerry was really strong, though.
For now - i would call it close to a draw, though i really think Kerry scored some brutal points on the war in Iraq - pointing out how Republican leaders thought the situation in Iraq was done horrifically - also some really good domestic points about how things will be much better for the middle class with Kerry.
Of course i have some bias - both portrayed themselves well...Kerry won't get a major jump from this but Bush didn't get momentum himself. :p
What no comments from the American pundits???

Many of the American pundits are Bush supporters and most likely have little to say about their little angry man's performance. It's like asking a Yankee fan to participate in an ALCS Championship thread after the Red Sox sweep.

Wishful thinking :)
That was his Brain-PaceMaker !!!
It is getting tighter. Kerry closing gap in terms of Electoral Votes. There are lots of state that Kerry is barely winning right now where as Bush has very less of those kind.
I have a feeling that this is as good as it gets for Kerry.

Its Florida, again with its 27 votes. ![]()
This electoral college thing is stupid. Some few states cant decide for whole country. I dont see there is any enthusiam in voters in California. I think story would be same in Texas. None of contenders care about voters in californa and hence the apathy.
Why cant they change laws and decide based on simple majority vote.
They show Bush with 240, even when they have included Florida in Bush’s column. Whereas the write-up on Florida (click on the link) says, it should be a toss up, since the spread between the two candidates is within the statistical margin of error. Not only that, Florida was extremely close in 2000 and I expect no difference this time around as well.
What I don't get is for instance if there are 27 electoral college votes in Florida and the poll shows a 47-45 lead for one candidate how come all 27 votes going to that candidate. Instead of 15-12 votes split or whatever may be the ratio is. Why the whole state falls for one candidate, where he just had one or two percentage point advantage or popular votes per se.

Thats the flaw of system.
It is not one-person-one-vote-system.
