Let the Americans waste their tax payer money in purchasing their lackeys in Pakistani media, as on the ground it isn't changing the opinion of the people towards American policies in the region.

That link speaks more to the lack of journalistic integrity of the individuals concerned rather than anything else. The fact remains that just as there is an audience in Pakistan for those who write for the Daily Ummat or the Nation, there are plenty of readers for some ‘liberal’ columnists who perhaps write for Dawn or the Express Tribune. The latter newspapers carry conservative op-eds as well. The diversity of perspectives does not mean that everyone has to agree with everything. If people do not like something, they can choose not to read it. No one is shoving anything down anyone’s throat.

It is either this US Funding or the alternative option is the ISI/PRO-military churned out rubbish that the media outlets in Pakistan can follow.
Do we ever question how our journalists put forward pro-military and pro-isi stuff whichso much of our pakistani media and distorts the story to the readers?
