True Fraudz - Andre Agassi managed to stay within Top 5 Tennis players of the world is an acheivement - but when i think of him earning another Grand Slam title - i just can’t bank on it - I think of the night before the Semi-Final game will Aggassi be able to beat Ferrero? - and I was obviously right in predicting that Agassi might have some problems defeating Ferrero and what problems these turned out to be: he was the one that was defeated after all - I can’t say I expected such an outcome but after watching the first two sets it was obvious who’ll be the winner out of this battle - Unfortunately, the times when Agassi could recover after two sets down have passed - He’s just of an age when this is hard to achieve physically - In fact I expect him to follow Pete Sampras and Michael Change to retire from professional Tennis quite soon.
IMO - Andy Roddick is great - He doesn’t need any attention because of his Chrisma. He got his Girlfriend Many Moore(Actress & Singer) so there’s always a chance for him to be in the Romantic-comedy movie if he wants to.
I think this U.S Open has attracted a lot of people’s attention when it was going down - Legend Pete Sampras retired from Tennis and new star A-Rod emerged on the International scene - In the Women’s we know it has been USA vs Beligum(Williams’ Sisters vs Justine and Kim) for few years - All four ladies are under 25, and I have to say - all these women have been successful - earned Gram Slam titles - Justine, Venus and Serena have done that. Only Kim has to acheived Grand Slam titles - I have faith she’ll do it next time. Therefore I think Tennis fans will see some good matches for a decade at least. Specially I think everyone - including me - will be looking for Serena vs Justine match-up in every major event - In French Open, not only the crowd but the Umpire was also against Serena Williams when she lost in the Semi-Final - There I felt no interest in Tennis. But then Andy Rocket Roddick arrives in style - and that certainly beeps up Tennis popularity among Tennis fans.
I can’t say about Andy’s personality but I tell you Ladies love him - and he was very generous to signed autograph for his fans after every game - Another superstar who can be future America’s prospect is James Blake - He’s young and tough, almost going through the same batch as Andy Roddick been through. To improve his game, I think James Blake does need good Coaching.
I think Men’s Tennis will be dominated by Andy Roddick, David Nalbandian, Juan Carlos Ferrero, Younes El Aynaoui, Roger Federer and Lleyton Hewitt - only Younes still have to earn Grand Slim title - so i think there will be great Tennis matches to be witness from now
Oh yeah - come to think about Tennis’ popurlarity in the World there’s a movie in making called Wimbeldon starring Kirsten Dunst, special appearance by Serena Williams, who of course will be a tutor of Kirsten in the movie - There I see people will take interest in Tennis.
For some people Tennis will not be same as the all time-greats have retired - but you know what there time has passed - the torch is passed to next generation - It’s time for youngsters to grow and acheive milestones!
