That's pretty barbaric, and stone-aged for someone who shouts ultra-secularism at every opportunity. :) Wouldn't you agree?
I would be much happier with the law running its course on all criminals instead. Providing that law is actually allowed to be practiced on all criminals no matter their standing in society, connections/rank, etc. including but not limited to those deemed traitors of the nation by the people and its set laws of the land. That's sure to make a lot of people unhappy.
