Imdad, people like you are the traitors to their nations, race and countries. I am not even sure if Imdad is your real name. If you have the courage to sell your soul to the devil, at least have the decency to reveal your true identity.
Why do people have to agree with you? Why cannot one question Americas foriegn policy without offending “coconuts” like you?
Yes, I do live in US and no I do not hate US, however, I do not agree with all the policies and tactics used by US to get its way around the world. Unlike you, I question these policies, learn to reason my friend.

And who said I sold my soul? Imdad...learn english before you start asking questions....
Try to be smart.....not a smarta*s!!.
I posted an old link couple of months back on Pakistan Affaris. Here’s the link. Accordin’ to the report, Pakistan’s Foreign debt were at $30b that time, which now have been reduced to $29b, as Foreign debt worth $2 billion has been paid off to the IMF last year, I reckon. And now, US forgives $1b.
Even though, I understand the debt position but don’t have the latest source to back it. **Therefore, if you ask the latest figures of Pakistan’s foregin debt, my answer would be $29b, which has, btw came down from mark of $36b. **
Let’s start this from the top for those of you who have trouble understanding simple concepts.
Lajawab, I have nothing against anyone speaking against anyone, but it is more than clear to me most of the people who share your mentality do it because they have been taught, rather indoctrinated, to hate America. This is not just simple disagreement of American foreign policy, but a deep seated hatred of anything American. People who think like you cannot see anything positive about the US and go out of their way to present to the world how evil the US is. You do this while ignoring the evil that still remains in the Muslim world, and is doing things much worse then America.
And why don’t you move to Russia, since you seem to be their biggest fan here. You have not said one thing about the hypocrisy of Russia in opposing this war when we all know how humanitarian they were in Grozny and Kabul. Russians also supported the Serbs, but I am sure you don’t have time to bash Russia on these issues since your hatred of America is more important than the truth.
Kaleem, watch who you are calling a traitor, since that description best fits you. What nation am I traitor to? Which race or country have I betrayed? I am living in the US not in Pakistan or Saudi Arabia. I support American troops who are liberating Iraqis right now while Arab troops are doing their laundry. You clearly have an axe to grind with the US, and it is not simply a difference of opinion on foreign policy. You have used terms to describe America, that only an enemy of the US would. Almost every one of your posts is dripping with hatred of Americans. And then tomorrow you will be the first one to complain that Americans don’t trust Muslims living here. Some example of your "disagreement".

I hope you will have the same reaction when more brits and us soldiers are killed.

maybe they want to believe him, maybe they are wishing that US soldiers were not in Iraq at all.Maybe the arabs wanted their govts to stand up against the great Satan i.e US and not provide camps and ports to stage attack aginst the innocent people of Iraq.

OG this statement of yours sums up yours and american ignorance about the rest of the world. What are you smoking?

5Abi, I have no idea what you are talking about. Be my guest and ask Dr Watson for help.
Fayax, how did you get to America then? Did you hide inside of a plane wheel well? OR did you go down to the American embassy of your own free will and plead for a visa from the staff? Yes, I would say you probably did sell your soul to anyone who would get you into America.
Imdad let me try this one more time with you. All of my posts that you referenced make it very clear that I do not support America’s hypocrite foreign policy.
Why the urgency to wage war on Iraq? What was it resolution 1441 at UN. Do you have any idea about the number of resolutions that Israel has/had breached? Some are older than 1991(gulf war I). You do not see US saying, "Israel is in breach of such and such resolution and there must be a regime change".
Were you also happy when Saddam was gassing people with the chemical weapons and technology provided by US? or Did you have the courage to speak up and say that US should stop Saddam because he is committing these heinous crimes?
It is Muslims like you who support these ideas and ignore the hypocrisy. I on the other hand like to stand up for what I believe in. If it makes me a traitor in your eyes so be it.
To me saddam never posed any real danger to US. US had no proof that saddam supported al-qaeda. US had no proof of Saddam having chemical weapons. So what is the basis of war? Maybe I am wrong, but I did not hear Bush/Blair say that this war was necessary because Iraqis must be liberated. Try as they might, to claim that they wanted freedom for Iraqis, I say if you are so concerned, let us look at our own backyard... Cuba comes to mind. How about dictators in other Middle easteren countries (Saudi, Kuwait, Bahrain). When will we go to help those people? I guess if and when the rulers decide to take a stand against US, until then all is well.
peace
Imdad I find it rather interesting that here in one hand you grind Pakistan on its human rights policies..on the other hand your defending the only nation in the world that used nuclear weapons to specifically target civilians...the only nation to use large scale chemical weapons against the Vietnamese... AS well the a nation wich gave small pox blanket to the red indian so that they would be wiped out.... As well a nation which supports daily human rights violations in Israel..and uses its veto to protect the Israeli's...... either your mental balcance is not right...or your just a hyprocrite....... and last but not least American A$$ kissers like you continually talk about freedom of speach...blah blah...and yet you attack a person for that very right....and what about those people who were locked up for a whole year and some are still in jail with out trial..following setp 11....

Do you Support Pakistan's foreign Policy ??
Imdad Ali,
I do not agree with you. Thousands and thousands of Americans do not agree with the war inflicted on Iraq to ouster Saddam Hussain. This does not mean that they have become less patriot than who supported the war. The victims of war are only children, women and innocent people. Saddam was telling the truth when he said his country did not possess the chemical warfare, which was the basis of invasion.
When I see the images of mutilated bodies of children, women and men, I think there is something very wrong with the American foreign policy. War on Afghanistan and Iraq will create thousands of OBLs, you should not think world will be at peace.
Sincerely,
FARID
And that $1 billion is what it would have been at the time of maturity after 30-god-knows-how-many years. They waived some million dollars which would have been equivalent to 1 billion with the interest and all at time of repayment.
Sorry I couldn't put it more eloquently. I'll see if I can get the actual figure.
Femme are you trying to articulate the present value of money scenario of cancelling debt after service of 'n' number of years on the debt?
CH this is that half of the things you say which I never understand. The other half which I never pay attention to is what just happened in General. (Yes the drawn in part still stands true).
FF, in literature it is called throwing the bone. Yeah, some people deserve it. Sit mushi sit. good boy.
Deserve it NYA? He earned it! So in that way, yes he does deserve it.
p.s.My boss pronounces gross income as grass income:hehe:
As and economist, I can tell you that all income should be Grass Income. With Afghanistan loosening up a bit, I can see my money going to some high quality stuff. Inshallah. I hate that Cloumbian crap.

The US has written of debts to many other governments over the years without demanding concessions. Last October over, $0.2bn debt out of Serbia's $0.355bn debt to the USA was written off, without conditions attached.
Besides which, the $1bn debt write off is part of the aid package commited to Pakistan in return for Pakistan's cutting support to the Taliban. The reason it has only just been delivered is that it has taken time to push the law allowing this write-off through the US legislative assembly.

US, or any country for that matter, is not just going to forgive debts. There is always an underlying reason or motive which might not be apparent at that time. As for our case, officially it might be for the reasons u've mentioned but unofficially its about the nuclear facility. Just wait and watch.

Imdad,
Pakistan is not the only country in the world. Although it is the country of my origin and I love it.

And I think I did a good deed...if I did that...cause you sure seem like a soulless person
