Re: URGENT Help needed with Cheese cake ..
Here’s the cheese cake recipe I made yesterday :
10 Digestive biscuits and two tablespoons butter , two tablespoons sugar , crushed in the food processor.
Then butter the cake tin base and sides and press the biscuit base firmly and put in the fridge for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat a saucepan, less then a quarter cup milk, boil it, then unwrap 8 chewy toffees ( you know the kind we get in a packet from ASDA , they are called chewy toffees) …add those toffee’s in the boiling milk and start cooking them on slow heat, keep stirring , they will melt … take off the flame and let it cool off …
Now take out the cake tin from the fridge and pour half the toffee mixture on the base and keep back in the fridge.
Meanwhile using a hand blender mix:
- One tub Cream Cheese , I used the one by Quark
- I froze single cream tub last night. Defrosted in the morning, it firmed up the creme , Used three tablespoons
- Three tablespoons sugar
Mixed it all really well. Then added one egg ( room temperature) and mixed it further, then added half teaspoon vanilla flavour and mixed it yet again.
Then added it to the chilled cake tin and poured the rest of the toffee mixture on top…
and placed it in a preheated oven at 150 Degrees for 35 minutes…
At that time it was soft, so I let it chill and then placed it in the fridge …When i took it out in the evening ( 6 hours later) .. It had caught perfect , perfect shape and came out looking and tasting beautiful on the plate ![]()
Give it two good runs
