Kaifiyat can have many meanings depending on the context and use:

Narrative, story, state, circumstances, explanation, quality, mode, remarks, condition, account, relation, nature, news, situation

these all are used as translation of kaifyat with Condition, state, quality, nature being the mostly used in context

The word is not in Feeroz-ul-Lughat. Is it a Farsi word? tell me the meaning. It’s always good to learn a new word of Urdu :wink:

I have couple of dictionaries, where I can find the meanings, one is A Dictionary of Urdu (by Urdu Dictionary Board) you can find the word in 14th volume.
This is pure Urdu word, read the actual words from the dictionary. hopefully u'll understand my roman Urdu.
Kabeekaj: Hashraatul arz kay moakkal aur jheengaron kay baadshah ka naam (qudama kitaabon kay hasheeya per umooman yeh lafz likh deeya kertay that keh ab isay keeRa nahee khaye ga)

Have you created the database of those books yet or not? or is it still as it was last year? Nonetheless, that whole library in the whole basement was superb, I must say.
