there can b alternatives for those not going to pak...like
ask a friend or guppy in ur area visiting Pak to bring u one or two nice dresses in ur range or ask them to prepare a dress by providing sample pic.
Or get some numbers of good pak boutiques n contact them via phone/email ask to send some pics in ur range n size n select from there
Or find a local home based designer over there wh doesn't hav a market in overseas n u'll get better price.
Ask a family friend or a contact in Pak to do ur shopping or get u dresses make on comission.
One last thing guppies in different cities can make a network n provide a list of local home based dress sellers with reasonable price n good quality styles.Some cities r always less pricey than others like Houston can b expensive,Toronto wil b less n calgary is least than toronto n vancouver.
N then theres no harm in indulging urself with one or two expensive designer pieces on ocassions.

What do you guys think about her jewelry, is it a total utter rip off? Most of her designs are I think gold-plated silver with real stones (rubies, jade, whatever). Im tempted to buy but I dont know if I should........
well at first...she has "ok" stuff... a lot of her work is a bit old and not so good fakes of some designers..or whatever.
and yes thats right her jewellery collection is just a rip off!! dont buy from her...i have some of the earings and i bought them for 2000 or 3000 rps from lahore liberty! and she is selling it for about 100, 150 dollars thats a lot....so more then 70% is about her margain...

What if you get it made, like show them a design and have them copy it? Can you suggest any shop in Karachi or Islamabad?

hey midnight eyes...well i went to a kundan jeweller in liberty/lahore...and he used real stones...i let made about 3 pair of earrings with feroza...and it doesnt cost me more then 3000 rps. some of the designs which urban design concepts have...are really common in pak...and u will get them everywhere in liberty...i am sure u will get it in karachi too.
if somebody is going to pak i would prefer to buy there artificial jewellery...stones are real and the look is also very good. it doesnt look very artificial...ok u cant compare real golden jewellery with artificial...but its well done and u can use it for formal occasions...

hey midnighteyes.... i am sorry i cant suggest u a jeweller in islamabad or karachi...just from lahore. but how i said i am sure u can let make copies...in liberty there a a few of kundan/silver/artificial jewellers...u just have to show them a pic and they can copy it. yeah and they use real stones...u can pm me...and i can send u some pics of my earrings...
and yes u can copy everything....just tell them u want to have real stones...this look then more elegant...
