I’m tempted to get this as my next purchase but I already have a working XBox 360. It happens to be a limited edition Halo 3 console and I thought it would be cool to have both the Halo 3 and Halo Reach consoles.

I am thinking Kane and Lynch 2, after I finish Red Dead Redemption. The latter is rather slow for my taste, I really hope I can finish it instead of getting bored and quitting midway.

Right now I'm skeptical about kinect. I'll wait and see what they come out with for it before I think of getting it. The price point doesn't help either. They were talking about Kinect integration in Fable 3 a long time ago, but more recently they said that it won't support Kinect at launch.

Ah yes, Alan Wake. Well, it was a fun game. It was a bit heay on the action. I was hoping for something a bit slower paced, something more along the lines of Shenmue. It would have been nice if they fleshed out the story a bit more, without having to go out of your way to find out about it. The gameplay mechanic of how they incorporate light is interesting. It was a good game, a little off from what I was expecting/hoping for, but still a good experience.

I think so. I liked it despite it being somewhat different from what I expected. Here's a quick description of it:
There are two types of segments in the game--daytime and nighttime. In the daytime segments, you're mostly carrying out some kind of exploration. It's ok, though I think they could have added more depth here.
In the nighttime segments, it's mostly combat with some puzzles here and there. These portions play a lot like a third person shooter. The action is quite intense most of the time.
The story is interesting, though not as deep as I would have liked. The game is made to play like a TV series, so the game is divided into 6 episodes, and it should come with a download code for a 7th episode. Maybe they didn't add much depth to the story for the sake of being able to do it later as DLC.
All in all, I liked it.

Or see if you can try it out first. If you have XBox Live, even a silver membership, I'm sure you can download a demo. I would suggest you try that out first or if you know anyone else who has it, play through an episode first and see what you think. I like it, but I don't think it's for everyone.

Yeah I know Aisha. I get bored during the long slow stretches and switch to Battlefield 2 online to speed things up a bit. Its a real test of patience!

I hate when you have to go from the main area to South Bohan. It seems like a looong drive that would never end.
