Another piece of crap from the umpires: The warning against Salman Butt for running on the pitch! He was just taking a damn run and was not running on the pitch while doing so. They showed the replay again and again and even the commentators were wondering where the umpire saw him running on the pitch!

actually Salman was running on their “dil ke armaan”, umpires are sh!tty, they couldn’t take it anymore, they have to find any tiny-winy faults anywhere “committed” by a Pakistani player.

Ghauri made a mistake. Though white umpires are finding it difficult to digest the whipping Pakistan is giving to England. Since they came here to watch a brown men whipping........... :-)
As for technology. Use as much as you want, w/o breaking the flow of the game. Look at Tennis...

Not only is Darrel Hair a cheat but he is a liar on top of that. His statement of "I was constantly telling Salman Butt not to run on the pitch" came right after Salman Butt revealed to the media that the first official warning came with out any prior mention of running on the pitch. Hair can't even stand up for his own decisions.

Am I the only one who feels cricket will lose a bit of excitement if all the decisions are referred to some guy watching proceedings on a TV screen? I am fully aware of the many incompetent and biased umpires; what we really need to do is carefully review the number of wrong decisions they make compared to the right ones, and fire the umpires who are not doing a good job. Many umpires today are in the panel because of their reputation. If you look at actual good umpires like Taufel or Aleem Dar, you will clearly notice how they virtually make no mistakes. Maybe it is because they are younger and work hard at their umpiring, I don't know. Bottom line is that we need to kick budhas like Hair and Rudi out, who gives umpires a bad name by being so damn imcompetent.

^ add Bowden to the list, I agree ICC needs to revamp its Elite Panel. Currently, all its members are treated as Gods regardless of performance. The difference between the older generation and the younger generation of umpires is stark. In short, there must be accountability.
