for food try punjab caterers - theyre very cheap - i will admit not the best and a bit slow to communicate but overall polite and will deliver. i havent seen anyone cheaper than them.
for photography is it just one day?? contact everyone you like- even high end and tell them your budget, trust me if theyre free and in a good mood they may just do it!
also, for photography and videography if youre really stuck have a look on gumtree - lots of experienced photographers with years of experience will do your wedding for free just so they can break into the wedding photography market and build a portfolio - also dont worry if you dont want your photos splashed everywhere some will even agree to only use pics of details rather than people just for the experience. this is risky as you cant see past work and you can only really go on intuition.... same thing for videographers - people trying to get into the market want experience.
make up.... this is something that you can only go on recommendation - other than the big names i dont really know anyone who is very good - what is your budget?
Ok...I've tried gumtree and I have found people on there only for photography..so I've asked him to book me in even though he's not amazing but I guess with my low budget he'll have to do.
My budget being the cheapest I can get. THE CHEAPEST. if I can get both for £1000 that's perfect but is that unreasonable??

Just photography and videography.
Makeup I do have my eye on two people but need to try and phone them.
Transport? Umm i don't think I'll be able to afford that at all so it's out of the question unless someone will lend me their limo for £100?? LOL.
I've been cheeky and asked for other vendors for example I've asked photographers for videographers names :p
Hmm..I've never tried asking high end people to do photo's! May have to try that approach!

I did my own makeup!! seriously invest in your own tools!! Not only will you spend less but youll be able to keep ALL the makeup and use it for around a year! Use youtube vids between now and april will get you a great outcome- if you need any advice pm me :D
OH WOW. You guys are the nicest people ever! Actually really thankful for this! So far I’ve phoned eccentric (he was the only friendly guy who i spoke to but his pricing was a bit out of my league BUT saying that i may phone him back and try and work through something) , a company called calibre studio who was the cheapest and had a ok portfolio. (I’m gonna go visit him soon!) Ive phoned ivid media who are sending me a quote in a few days (lets see right?) ermm a couple of people off gumtree - teesha its/silvede photography who DONT provide you with a album..only photo’s on a CD and forgive me if I’m wrong BUT I’m not gonna pay £300 quid for someone to just shoot and burn?
ANY other company charged £1500 MINIMUM so i got scared off! I do now also have a few more numbers off which I’m gonna phone - i got them from phoning up my venue - clay oven in wembley and asking them!
Make up - sfm123 i would really appreciate it if you could inbox me their number anyway because its worth a phone call. Do my own makeup? NO WAY I’m terrible terrible at make up - some days i overdo blusher and have wonky eye liner PLUS i can’t see anytime for me to START practicing make up on myself. also makeup is one thing I’m willing to pay for. I have narrowed it down to two - Sadaf khawaja and Allenora sadaf khan but i can’t seem to find her number. Their prices are 350-400. If someone else can recommend anyone of that price range i WOULD LOVE to hear from you!

The wedding will be taking place in clay oven in WEMBLEY if that is of help to anyone. Im not actually from that area OR live in london but phew thats another thread in itself as to why the wedding is not in my home town!

^ don't get too hung up on the album bit with photographers. iphoto makes fantastic albums, hardcover and coffee table style and very well priced, and you can easily reproduce as many of the photos as you want if you own the cd with all of them. for all you know, the photographers album might not be the greatest quality anyway. focus on finding a good photographer to capture your memories. if they provide an album with it, thats great, but if not, go by their style and the quality of their photography.
as well, do you have to have a video and photo person both? what if you combined both budgets and hired a very good photographer? thats what we did and i've never regretted it for one second. our pictures are fantastic and we still get compliments on them 4 years later.

There are lots of companies online where you can create one using their software. I recently used the Costco (uk) one and the software is good (lets you set up each page how you like) and some online reviews said their printing is good... I've made my album but haven't got around to finalising it yet. I can let you know how it turns out when I order it.

i had no idea costco had that too! very cool.
the iphoto one i made for my wedding turned out fantastic. i was very, very pleased.
iPhoto for my engagement made a lovelllllyyyyy album. With a bit of patience and creativity (I had a few hours of 'nooo that picture looks better here') you can have something unique. Plus you can make a few copies of it, like one for me, one for my fiancé. And my grandparents prefer the album to the CD to show friends etc.
Ahhh you guys just came up with the best idea EVER! This is what I'm thinking..phone around to a couple of really good photographers and see if they will just shoot and burn and then myself make a album/storybook!! I discussed this idea with mum and she was all for it!
That will be so much better don't you guys think? and cost effective and i can make as many albums as i want with maybe ALL the photo's and not have to pay an arm and leg for them?? Ok I'm going slight crazy but I'm so excited now! Thanks for the brilliant idea guys!
As for makeup artist I'm definitely booking one because I'm TERRIBLE..TERRIBLE at makeup! Trust me i could not do my own makeup for my own wedding!
This just leaves the videographer which I've got a few numbers for and will hopefully phone them up tomorrow! :D

Have any of you tried annie shah makeup? i had a look at her site and liked that.. and for stages i have looked at 1 stop weddings and party paradise...anyone heard of them? been with them? also how much do you guys think i should be looking to spend for a decent photographer?
