Fashion model Iman Ali’s latest venture is the new Lux ad featuring that special Matrix-inspired action. She is looking no less than all those Preitys, Ranis and Priyankas from across the border. The commercial itself speaks volumes for her beauty and presence. Iman is just perfect for the silver screen and if she follows the right career path, I am sure one day we’ll be seeing her dancing around trees with Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. After all acting is in her genes. Last year, in Shoaib Mansoor’s Anarkali, she was so convincing in her expressions and gestures that it seemed she belonged to that era. 40 is naughty! Right? Well, in this case its not a person but Pakistan Television that turned 40 on 26th November 2004. Watching its celebratory transmission was a feast for the eyes. The artists that we had grown up seeing on this network came out in full force to grace the event. A mega celebration full of colours with so many stars made it an evening to remember. I was impressed by the new image created by the present team of the network, which is so unlike PTV. The casual chitchat with the pioneers of television in the country was so informative and entertaining. Songs of late singers including the 3 legendry Ns (Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Noor Jahan and Nazia Hasan) were aired, reminding us of their melodious voices and unforgettable songs. A music show by Runa Laila was arranged specially for the anniversary. She looked fresh and her immortal songs were gorgeous. It was a treat indeed. Happy birthday PTV!
One of the our leading film actresses who has learnt the English language does not let any opportunity to show off her newly acquired bad accent go by. tell you what you can do. Make your bd and holiday fashion threads “un-sticky”. No one is replying in them. What exactly is the point of having sticky threads if no one is participating in them. I thought the sticky threads are supposed to be the important active threads.
