The price of a country's currency keeps on fluctuating depending on their economic conditions. The USD should have devaluated much earlier if only the Asian countries and China in particular were not buying off dollars and keeping it afloat. But now with diminishing returns and increasing deficit their tolerance threshold for buying dollars has peaked and they are diversifying their capital holdings in other currencies, which is why you see the gradual sinking of the dollar.
