U.S. soldiers Kill three shopping Iraqis, including 11 year old boy

It’s this sort of thing that adds to resistance cause in Iraq…

U.S. Soldiers Kill Three Shopping Iraqis

A U.S. patrol opened fire Monday on a group of people in Baghdad’s gun market, killing three, after the soldiers apparently mistook the gunfire of customers testing weapons for an attack, a witness and an Iraqi police officer said. Four people also were wounded, hospital and police officials said. The dead included an 11-year-old boy. In Iraq , it is legal for a family to own one gun for self-defense. That weapon is usually an AK-47 assault rifle. The gun market, however, is illegal and has been raided repeatedly by U.S. soldiers, who have tried to close it down.

Long live the resistance to unlawful occupation.

I see operaion Iron Hammer is in full 'swing' way to go Amreeka!

May all Iraqi people, including the Iraqi kids taste freedom and liberation soon. Until that time we will see more Iraqi kids being killed in cold blood by the American occupiers.

I'm sorry for this. While I am thankful there are far fewer Iraqis dying now then when under the deposed regime, I wish there weren't any civilian deaths. What's the solution? How does it stop? I don't think it's by any 'brave resistance' that creates terror by murdering new Iraqi officials, blowing up piplelines or blowing aid workers to bits. I say the US needs to get the hell out, but let's not leave it without effective security and a chance for a peaceful future.

The truth is that the majority of blood coming from Iraq is finally being uncovered, mass graves of hundreds of thousand have been discovered.

What happen today is a tragedy, but unlike Saddam who would do such actions in cold blood, the Americans heard gunfire and acted on it, if you don't see the difference you're not looking.

Thank you for proving my point, of once again you making excuses for the killing of innocent children - which you have done on each and every occasion this has happened.

Aren't you gonna go further and say it will have 'positive effects on the US markets', as you have before?

Pointing out the facts of the situation is not an excuse Malik.

For you it is always the case - all buts and excuses. So I will ask you a straight forward question. Do you condemn the killing of innocent Iraqi children by the US military? Yes or No?

I found the killing of any innocents to be absolutely horrifying and would never support such a thing.

Do you actually think I like to see innocent Iraqis killed? The truth is one of the major reason I supported toppling Saddam is so that the sanctions could be lifted, under Saddam this simply was not possible and the Iraqi people suffered because of that, your notion that I hate Muslims is wrong; if I posted something about the stock market going up during the war (I don’t recall if I did) it wasn’t because Iraqis were dying it was because Saddam's regime was. I support American troops in Iraq not because I want to be able to visit Resort Baghdad someday but because I believe if given an opportunity an Islamic democracy could be born and an example set for other Arab countries where people are currently suppressed and anti-Americanism runs high. There are no doubt some in the upper ranks who see Iraq as nothing more than a giant gas station, I can assure you I am not one of them.

Well that’s a start. Just note that it is not just myself, or what you might term “anti-American guppies” that castigate the US military for killing so many civilians in Iraq, it is independent Human Rights organisations like HRW, which even American guppies have quoted on many occasions.
