Once Egypt was an Empire, then Greece, then Rome, and many other nations became empires in their turn, now the latest is the U.S. Empire in which I happen to have been born into quite by accident, of course! Now the Imperial U.S. Army invades without provocation nations that cannot stand up to the weapons of mass destruction held by a nation gone insane with arrogance and greed moving toward world domination! I feel like the ancient Roman writer, Pliney the Elder who spoke about the decline and fall of the Roman Empire, witness to it, but unable to prevent it. My life was at rock bottom and I was poor and uneducated at age 23 in 1965 when I rejected the Juseo-Christian shackles and became a Muslim and accepted Islam. I have never looked back and I had been a school drop-out, 6th grade of primary school, then I went to college and then university to earn an A.A., a B.A, an M.A., and credentials to teach all grades and college myself. I owe it all to my conversion to Islam 39 years ago, next year marks my 40th anniversary as a Mulsim. I know how the Egyptians, Grreks, Romans and others living under imperialism felt and am embarassed by the cruelties inflected by an Empire on the poor people of the world. I can only say I did not vote for GEORGE THE SECOND (George W. Bush JUNIOR), nor did the majority of voters as the election was stolen by the heartless rich white men who run the conservative Republican Party that does not represent poor people, women, and minorities. The Democratic Party has waxed fat and lazy and surrendered for a share of the spoils. I never thought I’d live to see Arabs and Muslims arrested and held without trial as was done to Japanese-Americans in World War Two. The shame of it all is great and I feel sad for my sisters and brothers in the world. Peace Be Upon You! Sarge Booker ![]()
well bully for you sarge. Only in America can a person have such freedom of religion and enjoy such opportunity. God certainly must love America to make it such a great country.

Give us a timeline from rock bottom to successful.
Please don't forget to include the sources of income, various community and government programs and tax incentives that enabled you to reach your educational goals and be a success. All Islam, eh?
Afghanistan should be a paradise for the educated. I'm guessing it's not the whole story. Might be some "heartless" rich white men involved in the job creation, programs educational opportunities, grants, etc. by which you prospered. Give us a bit more information.
Look what this Imperialist be-yatch did.
Salvation Army’s golden arches
Estate of McDonald’s heiress to donate $1.5B in one of largest charitable gifts ever.
January 20, 2004: 10:56 AM EST
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The estate of McDonald’s Corp. heiress Joan Kroc will donate more than $1.5 billion in cash to the Salvation Army, in one of the largest individual charitable gifts ever, the charity confirmed Tuesday
A statement from the Salvation Army said the exact amount wouldn’t be known until the completion of the administration of the estate.
“We are obviously thrilled, but genuinely humbled by the exceptional generosity of Joan Kroc,” said spokesman W. Todd Bassett. “We recognize the deep sense of trust she has placed into our hands with this gift. Mrs. Kroc was a wonderful friend of The Salvation Army and we miss her. Her passion for children and families, and her hope for community peace will live on forever through this incredible gift.”
Kroc, the billionaire widow of McDonald’s (MCD: Research, Estimates) founder Ray Kroc and one of the hamburger chain’s largest individual shareholders, died in October at the age of 75 following a short illness with brain cancer.
Half of the donated money is to go toward construction of 25 to 30 new community centers, which would provide recreational and educational facilities to the public. The other half is supposed to go into an endowment, from which the interest will be used to help offset operating costs of the centers.
Kroc gave $100 million to the Salvation Army in 1998 to build a community center, which opened last year. Also in 1998, she donated $25 million to the University of San Diego to establish an Institute for Peace and Justice.
In November, the Kroc estate donated $200 million to National Public Radio.

yes very herat warming storch.. had this been an Islamic charity McDonald's would have been shut down.
Heart warming indeed. Imperialist, capitalists generate and have the ability to give more to more people than the societies the disgruntled author of this thread presumably admires.
I still want to hear from him. Great for him that religion provided a focus and foundation for him to walk on the path toward success and education. I hope with his teaching credentials, he will remember to teach about how the path was originally paved in front of him. Islam clearly was an important part of his personal salvation, but he needs to ackowledge the big picture as well.

Greetings & Salutations! Ray Kroc, the man who bought out the McDonald brothers overworked and unpaid his teenage employees left his wealth to his widow who willed it be donated, and? Henry Ford and John D. Rockefeller also exploited people and left their wealth to philantrophy too as did the robber-baron J. Pierpoint Morgan and a host of other exploiters of human misery. But what did they do in their lifetime for the people who were “wage slaves” under them? The Holy Qur’an provides much more for daily living than the Bible which has been revised so often and look at the difference between the Roman Catholic and King James versions? Protestantism grew out of Catholcism and like it or not, they are part of that faith! Just like the Mormons (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint) and the Jehovah’s Witnesses (Dawn Bible Students) who get a bad rap from their Protestant relatives. I am glad that I rejected Judeo-Christianity, a religion that was forced upon me to accept Islam which there is no forced conversion. Even now the white man in Europe and the U.S. depict their version of Jesus ben Joseph (Isha - PBUH) as a Nordic Aryan with fair features and stringy long hair, yet their own New Testament in the Book of Revelation 1:14-15 says Jesus had hair like wool and his ankles weere the colour of burnished bronze near a fire! But, I do not trust the writers of the New Testament who “borrowed” the Old Testament and renamed Tanakh, a Jewish Holy Book! I respect the People of the Book and the Prophet Jesus who was not the son of God and his mother Mary, but I can tell you from my own experience that I was greatly motivated by Islam and what becoming a Musliom meant for me as it opened my eyes to the truth. It is in the interest of colonialists in Europe and the U.S. to meddle with Arabs and Muslims and to use their economic might to subdue them, then exploit and rob them. Read Noam Chomsky and check out the truth! Peace be upon you! Remember, Holy Qur’an is the Final Testament and unlike the Bible, it was not tampered with and remains true! Sarge Booker
By the way, Jesus, Moses, Adam and the others were all Muslims! ![]()
Sarge,
I'm interested to know how your education and success was possible. Was there financial help? How did it happen?
Dear Larry Storch: I suspect you are playing with me when you ask me how my education and successes became possible? Financial help? You assume that minorities only get to where they are because of money from the Great White Chief in Washington, D.C.? Affirmative Action went a long way in righting wrongs and evening the playing field as well as the passage of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964 and earlier Brown vs. Board of Education of 1954. This so-called aid is really an interest-bearing loan that when the recipient pays it off, they end up paying 240% for the loan. Nothing is free in the U.S., Larry! The native American Indian was the first loser and 90% of these people died from European diseases and outright murder, GENOCIDE! Then Mexico had half their nation stolen by the U.S. In 1812 the U.S. invaded Canada to steal that nation, but fortunately were driven back. Africa lost millions of their people to come here and make the few white Anglo-Saxon Protestants rich on their sweat and blood. Black slaves were told to adopt Judeo-Christian names and those who were Muslims were forced nto Christianity. Japanese-Americans were jailed, whole families in World War Two and now innocent Arabs and Muslims are detained without charge or trial by the U.S., what else is new? Read Noam Chomsky, my brother!

Storch is simply trying to find out the everyday steps that it took to obtain your education and your advancement. The education you described does not come cheap. Either you have a fine job, a business, family help, a scholarship or a grant to go to college. It is not free.
And by the way, my sister worked in high school at McDonalds to get money to go to college. I got a lot of free french fries. At the time there were not a lot of businesses hiring high school kids. McDonalds may not be the career of a lifetime, but it always has plenty of people behind the counter. If it did not fill a need for their employees, they would all walk out and work elsewhere.
So, how did you obtain your education?

Just askin' the question. I'm not even saying you shouldn't feel entitled to everything you get. The great white chief along with chiefs from many other races and creeds have created an imperfect but incredibly bountiful system by which more people have the hope of real success than perhaps any other. If the system in its entirety disgusts you so, then why are you in practice and deed so very much a part of it?
BTW why is it so important to you that I read the cunning linguist from MIT, Chomsky? He will validate your claims?
How was your success enabled? Discuss. No tricks here.

Sorry, no time for fiction! No time for revisionist history!
Too busy reading biographies of Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Franklin, Henry and the rest of the Founding Fathers of the most envied nation on the planet!
Even had some time to read selections from the Bible and the Koran!
Peace To All Who Read This.....

Why do Mormon Christians and Jehovah's Witnesses get a bad rap from the majority Protestant Christians? I thought there was freedon of religion and speech in the USA?
