I live in an apartment and have one tv in my living room and one in my room. I keep my laptop in the kitchen when I cook and watch netflix!!! You should do that..... tons of tv shows and movies to watch!! I am even catching up with my bollywood :D lol.
BUT - At my parents house we have 3 tvs... one in the family room, one in parents room, and one in the KITCHEN!!!!!! haha. It is actually in the breakfast nook area that is attached to the kitchen. My mom thinks its the best thing ever because it has always made her life easier when trying to feed my little brother.... put on Sponge Bob and my mom will be able to feed him anything that is on the plate. :D She also uses it as her down time when she has free second and waiting for something to cook. She is the queen of multi-tasking!
TV in the breakfast nook area of the kitchen also comes in handy when there are dawats.... all the little kiddies eat their food while watching a movie and there is no mess in the rest of the house.
Lots of benefits of TV in the kitchen in my opinion CB!

We have one in the living room, one in the girl’s play room (for watching DVDs and pre-recorded/filtered programmes) and one in our bedroom.

laptop is a new TV. all of us sibs sit with our lappy, catching up shows. and apparently non of my sibs is into pakistani shows. i also lost interest in pakistani shows.
we do have a TV on which we usually watch news-business news-drangons den- iron chef kinda family shows.

yeah CB it's been a long time since we don't have it....to be honest there's nothing of my choice on TV these days and I hate advertisements.
I used to have an audio CD player with a radio and a cassette player to listen to favorite audio books in my kitchen but kids broke it recently...need to buy a new one.

I got a large screen for my room and since then and now, I can count how many times I have watched it. I am not a TV person, only a few shows interest me. Maybe I'll just use it for my kitchen when I move.

You don't have to pay additional tv licence fees if you have more than one tv in a household - it's just one licence per household regardless of how many tv's you have.
