Trip to the Taj Mahal

Still looks gorgeous!! :)

its an ordinary building.. u take away its history and there is ABSOLUTELY close-to-nothing left with it to see..

you want to see beautiful building? headover to a lil further in dakkan, near hyderabad.. there is this place called golkunda fort.. covers ENTIRE old hyderabad as a fort..

bechaaray ki begum marr gayeen to rotay huay ek yad dihani khari kar di.. neah man .. i say if memories are question, quaid-e-azam’s mazaar is MUCH better :k: .. now THAT building is a beauty.. has a ‘proudness’ in that building..

if u talk about the memories so u r right quaid’s mausoleum and may be st.peters are the the best but taj mehel is the best example of architecture all over the world isnt it ?

 take away history and its emotional value.. and tell me if its anywhere close to ‘structure’ wise close to masjid of khana-e-kaaba or even, heck, bara-imambara of lucknow..

neah man, jo sarr parr charh jaaye, media aur SPECIALLY western world main aa jaye, wohee allah, wohee quran aur wohee policy banta hay .. usee say log judge kartay hain, aur usee say naaptay hain..

 sorry its just when i saw it, i was highly disappointed.. khamokhaan itni harbong machayee.. iss say achi to niagra falls hay, ATLEAST true miracle hay..

again, my point of view many wont agree here..

 shajahan say jany dushmay lugty hai lolz

hmmm u r right at ur point of view but mujhay shajahan say humderdy hai  as u know initially jo concept tah wo pura hi nahi huwa b/c then he was slaved by his own son ek tajmehel balck main bhi bunna tha  ek ap ko bura lugraha hai sochein ager 2 hotay to ap ka kya hota :rotfl:

well history hatadein to really kuch nahi buchta just wastage of money

as long as u can see where i am coming from :-)

now structures that DO stand up to their reputation.. in my opinion is CN Tower, Minar-e-Pakistan, Bara Imaambaara of Lucknow, GolKunda Fort in Dakkan Hyderabad, and off a lil bit, but Hehtro Airport of London (England).

wow Nice pic Mushi :k:
Taj Mahal is looking Awesome.

Faizy bhai do you come among the relatives of Sahir ludhiyanwi

I knew about 2 person in this world who doesn’t like Tajmahal…

  1. was a russian president/prime minister ..who said i can see the blood of innocent labors in this building.
  2. Sahir ludhiyanwi…describes his hate in the famous nazam (few stanzas of that nazam"

“ye munaqqash daro deewar ye mehrab aur taaq.
ek shahansah ne banwake haseen tajmahal
hum ghareebon ki muhabbat ka udaya hai mazaq”

wanna include you in my list :hehe:

to ye bat hai :expressionless:

^ Han ji ...koi shak :-|

to ye bat hai :expressionless:

kitni bar kahoge ek hi baat

zeen, sahir didnt liked it cuz of the mazaaq uraying and russian didnt liked it because of the biradiraana mohabbat with labourers..

I dont like it cuz its overrated.. its famous in a wrong way.. structure? i mean come on.. they bring structure in, and ignore that back of the mind, its only famous cuz of the 'love'

simple as that.. feel free to put me #3.. my reason is just its overrated..

^ whatever be the reason… i’d like to add you too.
Faizy bhai…I didn’t see the Taj Mahal in real so i can’t say anything about that.Whatever i see in pic of Taj, i like that.
I respect everyone’s views including you.You are right in your own view.
Please don’t take it as a comment. :flower1:

Well as far as buildings and monuments go they're all feats of engineering. But for me what really does it is the history of the place and the actual feeling that you get when you are inside or in the presence of the building. We went just after fajr time and my heart felt tranquil and awed, and I've travelled quite a lot. So it goes on the top of my list of places to go during your honeymoon along with the Asawera village in Morocca out on one its old Portugese peers.

Thanks for the comments folks!
