I have to agree PIA has some crap customer service and generally its pretty run down airline. It sometimes hard to see an believe that PIA was 3rd world best airline at some point of its history. Anyways back to the point I think generally the airplanes are okay ish, I mean if you fly towards Europe/West its all modern aircraft like Boeing 777s and Airbuses. Its the planes that fly to the middle east like the big jumbo 747's that are quite old and banned from Europe/West. They do the routes to Saudi and surrounding countries because they not allowed past Europe because they are aging and old.
I have flown on many occasions sometimes by choice other times by no choice ( last minute flights). If there was some other direct airline going from the UK to Pakistan I would never fly PIA and it wouldn't be because of the airplane but because of no customer service.
Also about going to Delhi sometimes Air India flights are cheaper, You could take a flight from London to Dehli for example, take short hop from Dehli to Amristar and cross into Lahore via the land border or you could just take PIA from Dehli to Islamabad althought I think its twice a week flight.

I'd def go with Qatar Airways... The're comfortable and affordable. I've traveled via QA a few times now. At first I hated them, but I think that's cuz I was trying to compare them to emirates lol.
Agree with others, I'd def advise to avoid PIA. Their flights are almost always delayed or cancelled. Not to mention uncomfortable!
@Kkf, saving money is nice, but if you have ridiculous layovers and a bazillion connecting flights, the fatigue wouldn't be worth saving a few bucks, in my opinion.

Bro, just drive to LA and fly from LAX via Etihad see fare below, make sure to take the form of payment i.e. credit, debit cards to the airport if you buy tickets online, my brother recently had problems at DFW airport going to KHI from Emirates.

There is nothing wrong with PIA...people only fly these other airlines because it's CHEAPER that's all. I've flown regularly with PIA from JFK to LHE and I've also flown on Emirates via Dubai to Lahore from JFK. Guess what...I STILL FEEL LIKE CRAP WHEN I LAND.
People only say they travel on Emirates or Etihad because of its "quality"...don't be fooled my boy, most Pakistanis don't want to admit they're cheap.
