Also, at parties here people compliment each other all the time. And when someone tells you you look nice you thank them and tell them the same. In Paksiatn when I was there the girls never complimented each other and when I told a girl she looked nice she had this hauty attitude and fake smiled and nodded and walked away. That was ten years ago, last time I was in PK. Is it still like that?? I know this is a bit off topic but I just had to say it without opening a whole new thread.
I wouldnt agree with this part much. Here girls praise each other all the time specially on their attire. Some times you tend to feel whether it is buttering or actual praise. At least i compliment every other nice thing that some one is wearing. As for hiding information, it is also part of this new race of being the most exclusively dressed and yes it persists here.
