Yes you are right!
Re: Travel Pursuit - A Quiz Game

Thats why I wrote western Europe.
Mt. Elbrus is located in the Caucasus Mountains which straddle the boundary between Asian Georgia and European Russia, a middle ground termed Eurasia. Therefore some critics argue that Mont Blanc is the tallest peak in Europe and place Mt. Elbrus within the Asian border. On the other hand most mountain climbers consider Mt. Elbrus to be north of the Asian border making it the tallest mountain in Europe. Wherever it lies there is one thing for certain, Mt. Elbrus is undeniably taller than Mont Blanc.

thank you.
next Q:
whats the safe distance between the two aircrafts in the air?**
Re: Travel Pursuit - A Quiz Game
^ Depends on type of Aircraft.
I would say about 3.4 miles or 5 kilometers.

**
3.4 miles = roughly 17000 feet [almost half the altitude of a large jet's cruising altitude]...that can be possible because u see so many planes up in the air around a busy airport. :) right?**
Re: Travel Pursuit - A Quiz Game
Well as I said it depends on the type of aircraft but yeah I was making an educated guess drawing on experience with smaller aircraft.
Jets and especially millitary jets have closer formations and better pilots hence distances can be much less… a lot of digital era planes actually fly themselves. ![]()
But I would say 3.4 miles is a safe distance for most annolouge light to medium craft.
Re: Travel Pursuit - A Quiz Game
**
SORRY but ur answer is NOT correct…there is a FAA and IATA regulations require a minimum safe distance to be maintained between ALL aircrafts at ALL times except when two or more aircrafts are performing a specific task like mid-air refueling, combats or airshows.**
Re: Travel Pursuit - A Quiz Game
Okay at altitudes at and below 29,000 feet a distance of 1000 feet should be maintained
at altitudes of over 29,000 feet that doubles to 2000 feet between each aircraft.
I can only remmber those basic lessons… I was never fammiliar with FAA and IATA regulations though I think I should have paid more attention… ![]()
I can however fly and land an aircraft, but I think if I were to do so in my current state I would find myself in a lot of trouble.
I would love to learn hellicopter flight. That is even more complicated. ![]()

to which question ur answer refers to?
**
Y for every Canadian Airport - is it because of Yukon?
**
lol...i don't think so. for some reason Canada is unique in the world as for all its cities the IATA codes start with the letter Y**
Re: Travel Pursuit - A Quiz Game
5 nautical miles between 2 aircrafts if flying at the same altitude . . . .![]()
Re: Travel Pursuit - A Quiz Game
