Well since those Jews were living there since the time of Christ, the idea of them coming and starting living there, is BS.
That area always hosted a large Jewish population.
Israel was created on areas which had a Jewish majority and the remainder was Palestine.
Basically, Arabs and Jews live in a House. The Jews have the basement, while the Arabs have the 1st and 2nd floor.
The Jews want to seperate the house and allow their friends to live with them.
Arabs decide to kick out the Jews from the basement.
Arabs bungle up. And Jews now control the basement and as well as the 1st floor.
Only the 2nd floor is in the possession of Arabs.
