since when altaf has more votes than NS ? last i checked its about 20 seats vs. over 120 seats and 15 million votes vs some 2 million votes. Are you sure what you are talking about here. No way in hell altaf ever get more votes than NS, actually no one can get more vote than NS now. Having said that i have not said anything about altaf, i like to settle things politically, and he has distanced himself living abroad 20 plus years and stupid rhetoric, i dont like any politician banned.

There is no such thing as banned for life. there is no statue limit on anything and PMLN will amend 62/63 for good now to have the disqualification only limited to one term. mush ran away from courts, he decided to not show up unlike others and in process have lost every thing. he is not wanted here, has no vote bank and can never ever beat NS in elections. he should have stand trial in courts instead of showing his true colors of 1971 type army. again he has no representation other than one seat from chitral. he cant even muster few thousand votes.

you are absolutely wrong about money vs. vote. electables are in dozens and they do have some say but for a long time bhutto name commanded vote and now Sharif name command votes. people are not that stupid. specially in central and northern punjab where awareness is increasing. we have parliamentary form of politics per constitution, NS didnt make it. If it is changed to something else, he will do just fine but for now its parliametnry politics and no one has stopped any one else to do development and show progress. again only PEOPLE can decide who is banned or not.

you are dreaming up scenarios that are not only stupid but delusional so i wont debate there, however, the supremacy must only lie with parliament and their fate must only be decided by people.

Thug is subjective word, to me you can be thug, to you i can be thug, where will stop, no where so no every person gets a chance in election and so long they are fit in terms of paying taxes and some other criterria they can go to people and PEOPLE CAN DECIDE.

army is most powerful because they are armed, however, since we saw under mush almost 50k people died and army officers were told not to go out in uniforms in own country where as a civilian NS was able to get all separatists on the table. So army can take over but the price they will pay will be very steep, for starters very soon losing respect, separatist raising head, there is a reason army is called ROGUE army and not Rogue civilians.

You are over thinking, No army will not come. any political stability means IMF loan rates sky rocket, dues become due immediately, default like in 2007 on cards, who in the world want a ROGUE ARMY to have Nukes? Raheel sharif was treated quite badly here when he showed up 6 times. Army knows now that after OBL recovery, world hates them so they need Civilians like NS to be the face. Further, the last paragraph may be true for a patriotic movie, the issue is that most corrupt institute in pakistan is Army. Their corruption starts where others end and they already saw what few Baluch separatist can do to them, perhaps its ok for army to come and once and for all we can decide whether pakistan stays or it become 3/4 small countries. You already saw, the reaction in AJK and Gilgit, world is different now and Army rule will come with very steep price.

So nothing like that will happen, people have awareness now, they want to live freely, i was just there and my brother actually is in armed forced and i saw a lot of incidents where people stood up to army guys breaking lines or questioning DHA life styles or openly talking about army and its frivilous budgets. Times have changed my friend. You will see how NS will muster his political muscle now. He played nice and 5 stupid judges disqualified him for not taking salary, now he will amend consitution, get them under NAB, will make parliament very strong and if that means street fight, so be it.

You mean, Altaf Hussain should not have got banned, as he still has more votes than NS? … as many believe if Pakistan had presidential form of election, where votes fall to individuals not party full of Electable, it is possible that Altaf Hussan might get more vote than Haramkhor Tharki NS.

Another fact of parliamentary election, especially in third world, is that, money wins election. If India spends $10 billion dollar on Pakistani election, Modi buying Electable and voters, would become PM as well as CM of all 4 provinces. So, your this belief is wrong.

Forget Modi, if Donnald Trump would form a party and would contest election in Pakistan, saying that if he wins, he would give every Pakistani between age 20 years and 40 years old, work visa of USA, than his party would win the election, and Donald Trump would become PM of Pakistan. But obviously, Pakistani law would not allow that, regardless of number of votes Donald Trump gets.

Right is that … different state departments, police, FIA and court work on candidates and only allow those candidate to contest election who is eligible to contest .. or let them stay in office as long as they do not violate country’s law (as well as law on human rights).

Else, if thugs would be allowed to come in power, than they could even change constitution and make law that all Chaudharies in Pakistan would be personal servants and cooks of parliamentarians, and then you could become their personal servant and cook. But obviously, since there is law in the country, if they would do that, you will go to court and regardless of what constitution says (whatever changes they made in constitution), court would make sure your basic rights is respected (that means, court would save you from becoming personal servant and cook of politicians).

If parliamentarians do not accept court verdict (that they should accept constitutionally) than they should know that they only rule because of moral ground, else they have no power in the country (as executive power works when others obey). In such situation, army is the most strongest power in the country and army would be justified to get into power and hang all those who did not obeyed court orders.

I have feelings that if by any chance, army comes this time, it would not be for 10 or 12 years (or life time of one General), but it would be for indefinite period, and one army general would replace other as Chief executive of the country. Then, there would be no Saudi Arabia, UK or UAE for anyone (rather, many would not be there alive) … as army would pick all politicians and government servants who have reputation of corruption, then army would start investigating their assets, and if their assets is found beyond their means, then they would be shot dead on spot without delay or trial (obviously, trial is not needed, as these thugs do not believe on courts). So, very dangerous time for corrupts is waiting round the corner.
