yes b/c unfortunately i would see you as a fellow human being not only as a muslim, if you were my neighbor, i would want to enjoy with you all the islamic festivities, that’s how most human being would be, i would think..
and i’ve really thought about it.
i would say ramzan mubarak not b/c of any “expectation”, i just would feel weird not being a part of all the festivities if i had most all muslim neighbors.
Good. But you are missng the point. I said the expectations should not be there to accept someone as a felllow human being. I think that is a great thing. And shows real tolerance.
A minority should not have to do that in order to get assimilated/integrated or accepted.
that’s the thing, i can’t understand that way of thinking that you are talking about or the imam and most muslims talk about in regards to nonmuslims and nonmuslim practices. not caring less about other people’s culture and seeing their religions as fake
Absolutely not true. You are makng a wrong judgement here and putting words in someone’s mouth for no reason at least based on what I wrote. Where did I say what you wrote in bold part?
I said muslims are tolerant and will not think of anyone to greet to let them assimilate. Isn’t it a good thing?
no i personally don’t think others should follow suit
I think they should. Everyone should.
and the bold part was majorly harsh man, you didn’t pause even for a second before saying something so hurtful to me a fellow human being. wow and ouch.
No idea why it should hurt. Not intended also.
Live and let live comes from this basic that there should not be any requirement from anyone to to greet someone like that to be assimilted or integrated. Obviously you use the word integrted or assimilted because you felt it was somehow required. I requested you to think about that. Not to be emotional.
Let me ask you, if you pass an exam, do you want everyone to greet you and those who do not, you will dislike/hate or will just go about the business of the day? Expectation should not be there what I said.
Now I suggest you read all above of our posts again and the context of what I said. Thanks.
anyways, thanks for your valuable time in explaining that
