As far as my brother is concerned, he does not discriminate between tomboy girls/ girly girls for fraaanship but is definitely interested in girly girls for marriage purpose. Guys seems to be attracted more towards desi dressing, choorian etc. and thats why we see a lot of guys falling for girls when they see them in someone’s shaadi functions when girls are dressed up as girly girly style. There are always exceptions but I am talking about the the first impression. Guys however would want girls to be a mix of both with proper dressing sense and all, being girly girl when required and acting tom boyish occassionally.
tbh, girly girl typa girls annoy me. It's like...yeah, ok you're a girl. Stop shoving that in mah face. Nothing smeksier than a girl using a wrench and fixing that pesky pipe leak. Just sayin'

I agree with Murgi, I get annoyed by the girly girl types who rely on a man to change their car tyres or talk about makeup and clothes 24/7 and are dainty lil' things with not much substance to em. But then again you don't wanna be like a butch he/she.
Find the right balance. Fix a few tyres by day, and pull out the cutesy prom dress by night ;)
Well if I were a man, I'd choose someone like that anyway :o
Well I had been a tomboy for years because I was the only sister and was raised in a place where there was no girl of my age. Even me and my brothers had the same friend circle. I still some times and in some situations behave in that way (case in point cricket matches and formula 1). It just never bothered me in fact I was more confident and independent when I grew older.
I am not sure how this tendency will play in a marital life but I hope that the guy I would be marrying expects his wife to be able to take care of real life problems then some one who is dependent on him for everything (or pretend to be dependent on him)
Remind you, being girly-girl is not synonymous with stupid, ignorous, naive or uneducated.
Diwana, how many girls have you actually talked with. I mean have a conversation that lasted more than 5 minutes. Reminder, a conversation is two people talking not just 1 speaking and other keeping quiet.

You got me there....Sheeeeesh! They were all wanna-be-girls men, I've been 'talking' to. :(
OK, girly girls are brainless, and tomboys are intelligent. And those in between are super intelligent. :D
