Re: Tomato in Daal?

lol and i was wondering how i get my daal to be watery.

i have no idea. it just thickens by itself. i dont know the recipe by heart , but i'll get it and post it.

Re: Tomato in Daal?

me too. lol

Re: Tomato in Daal?

LOL I read it as “toronto” too :smack:

Umm I do put tomato in daal…but its one of those things that if I don’t have it (I’ve run out of it), the salan will come out fine without it…not many salans can be that flexible.

Re: Tomato in Daal?

i cook all the daals with tomato coz i love the taste of tomato in daal ................n practically evrything i cook coz i love tomatoes

Re: Tomato in Daal?

O yes.....i always do!

Re: Tomato in Daal?

No tomatoes in daal. I am sure I wouldn't mind it though if it taste good. I hardly make daals. And even in Khatti daal, the original recipe calls for imli not tomatoes. People now use tomatoes idk why. Imli is easily available.

Re: Tomato in Daal?

People people people!

There are 3 types of dals: patli daal, regular medium consistency creamy daal, then the sukhi or dry type. There are no rules as to what goes in a daal. You can add pretty much anything in it.

Re: Tomato in Daal?

Re: Tomato in Daal?
