Its fairly common in kids, and is not a problem from what I know.
Babies dont care about circumstances, and poop when they feel like…in some cases, earlier than you would like. That is why many babies end up passing food that is seemingly untouched. Once they are potty trained, they learn to hold it in, and that allows the organs (stomach, intestines) enough time to grind the food to a pulp.
So unless your baby is ill, there is nothing to worry about. Everyone gains weight on their own timeline.
