:k: none taken. I know you were being respectful.
I know my nick is confusing but it is an oxymoron . It is supposed to be used by a female but I am not female. I am supposed to be a meanie with that kind of a nick but I am not.
You see that coke as my avatar that is to remind everyone that I am cool as long as you are. ![]()
Please recheck the definition of โoxymoronโ ![]()
I would be lying if I said that I didn't want more. But my thinking has also shifted in the sense that with more $ I can support those in need and Islamic causes. I think I would be most satisfied if I achieved more and was able to channel some of the gains into things that will improve the human condition and help spread Islam throughout the world.
I have a long way to go, but its so good to see other Muslims stepping up and saying that we will be competitive in the capitalist system while still retaining the Muslim religious identity.
Nothing wrong be materially successful and competitive. I just wanted to say that it is more important to contribute to the world and be remembered as a 'good person' than a 'rich guy'. So, in our efforts to be financially successful, we need to stick to our ethics and morals.
Re: To be Muslim and Successful in this Dunia
I want to say one thing without breaking the rules and yes it may go off topic!
Robert is right in a way what he says, because it is you. You don't become succesful because you are Muslim. Is Muslim a name, a brand, a nation, race, color? It is a meaning of a Person who does GOOD DEEDS. This is the definition of Musilm "someone who does good deeds"...This is why Allah has promised the jews, the christs and all other people heaven before Islam was revealed!
You are paid for your deeds, not for your heritage!
