Why do you want to move her to her cot? When she is sixteen, would it matter if she slept with you till age 1 or 3? Let her enjoy this time with mommy. She is only going to be one, only once in her life. She needs your touch. Who set this standard that she cannot be in your bed no longer cause she is one?

I agree with what you’re saying and really I’m not trying to conform to any standard or anything its more an issue of practicality now that she’s older she moves around a lot and takes up more space meaning a less restful nights sleep for us both plus I’m always scared she will fall off etc as she moves around so much. Also my Husband is relegated to the spare room because of this lack of space.

Her newly decorated room is right next door to mine and I want her to begin to use it. I have enjoyed the time and nights spent cuddling her but I feel as if I dont make the move now it will just get harder as she is so much more aware of her surroundings. I just need tips for a gradual move really, it doesnt need to be instant.
