Amal, I believe elderly people use the word *aziz *for the young ones to show brotherly/paternal love. If this is correct, are you an elderly person then?

Influence of a foreign culture. Altered values in sports, life, entertainment, world views. Had Britain not ruled, would cricket in India occupy the status as it does today? Perhaps hard for many to say. But think about it how rulers change the society they govern. Would there be so many Indians and Pakistanis so fluent in English, had Britain not ruled India? You take an example, I take another to explain it to you. But the question about love in Urdu poetry I asked earlier still remains unanswered.
Does it not have to do about the rulers in past who encouraged/liked such kind of poetry? Was the Russian poetry not different during communism? Was it not always used to elevate communism? Only in free societies poetry is not censored and is given its full rein.
Very few poets make their living by writing poetry. Did the Urdu poets of the past make their benefactors happy by writing love poetry? If so, then why no change now? Why it still continues to be full of love and romance? Was it because love and romance was suppressed in Islamic cultures in the past, and the only way for the people to express it was through poetry? And surprisingly it continues to be so!
I think we are moving in a circle. There are differenes of opinion and none of us has been able to convince the other. I think we should move step by step. Your initial question was about the versatility of Urdu Poetry. My liine remains the same. Versatility is there, but you are trying to form an opinion about the versatility of Urdu Poetry by seeing the volume of poetry posted on this forum on a single subject. It's a long subject, I will continue to add to comments and will also invite others to participate in this discussion.

I appreciate your answer. I think it was my fault in not choosing right form of expression in asking clearly as to why the Urdu poetry, in general and not only in this forum, is loaded with mohabbat and almost no other topic of emotions is expressed, except in few poems here and there. I ask this because I read a lot of world poetry and find the poetry coming from other countries and cultures is not like the Urdu poetry - full of mohabbat all the time. They write on many different topics.
So I hope we will not move in circles now.
Poetry of Iqbal is about new nation bulilding and not much about love.
Faiz was influenced by English poetry, especially that of Tennyson (is it correct?). And so, some his nazms have flair of English poetry away from Urdu mohabbat.
Parveen Shakir, wrote marvellous Urdu poetry, still on the theme of love.
What do you think? Could you cite other well known Urdu poets whose themes were not mohabbat?

I do not know how Urdu speaking people often address their dads in Pakistan in general.
If not in addressing face to face, then how about in letters and emails? Do they use the word aziz papa/bapu/baap as dear dad in English?

The word naazuk mizaaj is incorrect. Shaair are more of sensitive nature, which is OPPOSITE of hudd-haraam and moTi khaal so I take it like it's a good thing :)
PS: I do not consider myself any shair waair
