Re: ----> TimePass
I am not sure if this is the right forum for the TIME PASS about the following two comments in a thread “just for my love aisha”. I think it is something to think about why people write/recite poetry while expressing feelings of love. Any thoughts? Most of the Urdu poetry is about love, anyway. Please tell me why it’s so.

Re: ----> TimePass
Ravi, love is a subject like others. The only thing is that in poetry, this particular subject is discussed more than others. And I understand that poetry is all about expressing your inner self about everything you feel. It's a medium that exists and used therefore. Everyone is free to express what he/she wants. Similarly, everyone is free to read what one wants. If you don't like love being discussed in poetry, you can opt out of it and read what pleases you the most. It's a matter of choice for those who express and for those also who read.

Amal, I am sorry if it appeared to you that I did not like feelings of love in Urdu poetry and was making some sort of complaint etc. My point is why in Urdu poetry we find the expression of love so much and not in the poetry of many other languages, for example English, where many other emotions are also expressed. Poetry reflects our inner thoughts and our culture. I was trying to relate these in Urdu poetry. Any thoughts?
PS: I am not here to demerit Urdu poetry. For heavens sake, no, never.
