Why sindhi songs are not that famous as punjabi songs?
Punjabi music is promoted by India as well.. jo cheez India promote kare wo Pakistan main kaise famous nahin ho sakti.
Till the time, we have one channel PTV all languages were given same attention and people used to know 2-3 songs from each language.

Folk is always popular. Be it Ho jamalao from Sindh, Laila ho Laila or Dana ba Dana from Balochistan, Jugni from Punjab or Washmalle from KP. People all over Pakistan who listen to music knew these folk songs. On individual level, Sindhi singers sung in more languages like Punjabi, Saraiki. Singers like Abida Parveen, Muhammad Juman, Shazia Khushk sung in various languages. Specifically, Abida Parveen has sung more sufi poetry of Punjab than any Punjabi singer. She sung Bulleh Shah, Sultan Bahoo, Shah Hussain and other Punjabi poets. This is not common among singers from other languages. Punjabi suif poetry reached to Sindhi listeners due to these singers.
