Teach me how to differentiate between hota and hoti…basically muannas and muzakkar. I always get confused and no one teaches me:hinna:

Sorry. I don’t know how to explain or teach it. It is something you pick up when you grow up using a language.

no trick. grammar learn those, who are alien to a language. Urdu is not alien to me. It comes with practice, otherwise, I used to say TV hoti hai, Camera hoti hai (as they are feminine in Sindhi).

I use Urdu too at home but I make the mistake frequently. Maybe I should read more Urdu :(

OMG this uncle brought her granddaughter at book shop and asked for Deputy Nazeer Ahmed's novels. He said that he wants her to enjoy the language and civilization portrayed in those novels. I was surprised when he told that one of Deputy's works are included in A/ O level's Urdu.
