agreed but its the politicians who have handed over the control to the military, there is only one way how the civilians can wrest the control back which has happened in a country similar to pakistan, erdogan of turkey. He was able to do that with public support and the key is good governance.

Lack of Good governance of politicians should not have affected Judiciary. Military courts is an infringement of rights (rights of public and peole related to judiciary). Thats what Asma Jehangir said. When she called politicians Pithhoo of military, there was huge applause from audience.

There was a question ‘ab Faiz, Faraz aur Jalib’ jaise shayar kiyun nahin hote? Aitzaz said ‘jab sb se ziada taliyan word ‘pithhoo’ per paren gi to kon shayari kare ga’

When you interfere in all spheres of governance, this is what you get…can we expect our courts to dispense justice? Has the parliament changed the procedures for dealing with terrorist cases? Under prevailing circumstances can any judge volunteer to take up terrorism related cases? When the identities of the judges hearing the cases are known and the state is not willing to provide them and their families with security, what can we expect? The witnesses should be provided security as well, and their identities kept secret. The whole judicial process needs over hauling but no one wants to put his hands in the hornets nest. This is emboldening terrorists. When PMLN came to power they were talking about a counter terrorism policy, dont know about its current status. No one is stopping the government to improve the anti terror laws. Even in the presence of military courts (which should be a temporary measure) the parliament should keep a tight oversight.
