It was not a message for general. The situation and difficulties of the girl portrayed in start were shown to justify her thoughts in the end. A young and struggling guy would not have given her secure future, becuase jawani ki muhabbat jitni jald chaRhti hai, utna jald utar bhi jati hai

The girl wa not aware that guy loves her, so it was not direct attack on love at young age. The story was probably written some 50 years back, jab young age main shadi karna was not a big deal

ye to boht aam sa character hai and it does portray how much it is difficult for a girl, jiske sath bhai / baap na ho.. The girl had father, but he was rather a responsibility
