I think they are not easy with female education, but again that is problem with almost all the communities in Pakistan. To be conservative is not always bad.It depends what you are conserving (good things or bad).
Culture is not bad its the way cultural traditions are implemented which makes them bad. firing on all occasions without any concern of lives and security of others is bad. But it was not always for show-off. it was for safety.

There are many good things about Pahtuns. In general, they are simple people. Know how to sacrifice for friends. strong traditions for keeping words. Pathan ki ek hi zaban hoti hai 
There food is simple. No extra mirch masala. Pashtun music is just wow.
