My collegue tried out green bags (TV ad) which keeps the fruits and veggies last for long periods of time. I have not used it myself yet, but I will definitely buy them soon.
She had the strawberries in green bag sitting on the kitchen counter for couple of days and they were still fresh when she brought them to work. Without a green bag no way they will last a day on the kitchen counter.
