we wont innovate or worry about coming up with new ideas or products, cos come on! the whole world is doing it! its nothing new!
Products have been innovated with new ideas for centuries except that the people involved did not realize that they were "Thought Leaders" i.e. until Kurtzman came along with the term.
I am not sure how many new innovations Krutzman help trigger (which otherwise couldn't have happened) - but he certainly did help launch a million power-point presentations...the kind Fraudz wants the info for.
"Thought Leadership" - exactly the title of the management book that I want to strategically place in my office cabin to make the right impression.

Its about staying one step ahead of the competition my friend... ofcourse products are developed all around the world with innovations and ideas... but to be the 'leader' or staying one step ahead of the competitors is what thought 'leadership' is about... Its about knowing and making people think u know more in your respective field...
A client might pick you over the next company simply because of your efforts to come across as the thought leaders in your field and have more 'presence' out there in the right circles.. whereas someone else might be better than you at what you do, but might not be concentrating on this aspect ... to put yourself out there as the leaders in your area... and like I said before... you can call it anything you want... but you can't deny its importance.

in medicine, thoughtful leadership is necessary as we have to make life and death situation or come up with trt plans for our patients. most of med training after med schooling, is all about structure and organizational ability to prioritize work tasks and be able to peruse the learning from a senior doctor in ways that a junior doctor's work skills, knowledge and ethics can improve.
taking the example of a clinic as an org, there are research as well as implementation aspects to the work of a thoughful leader doctor as a consult or attending who can prove to be the model for impact through their medical work.
all of it from credibility, to excellence is based on a leadership skill of each and every member of the hospital team in its capacity and capability in the sphere of medicine dissemination of info in the professional circle as well as help find solution to patients' on going medical needs.
leadership is required in all fields of work and not everyone is cut out for assuming leadership role in any given org. as more and more individuals becomes able to prove their work excellence, it will and it should become the standard to merit the leadership skills in a huge way besides technical and knowledge skills in an individual.
