Re: Those protests? Not so much about the cartoons
Protests are lovely, but:
They will not create jobs, improve the economies, educate kids, or allow Muslims to compete in the world economy.
They will not address the problem of corrupt dictators of Muslim countries, infact they may distract attention from current leadership
Protests will not decrease, but will increase friction in the world community.
Protests will not enhance the status of Muslims worldwide, and may significantly damage the world view of Muslims.
So while protest find some measure of instantaneous pride, tomorrow Muslims will wake up facing the same problems only perhaps worse.
Enjoy the buzz. The hangover could be bad...
