dayamn, you've got my vote!!!
Do you think I’ll ever be in that position of global absolute power? ![]()
I’ll die trying though for them vacation odds.
I took a minute to think over your work/vacation balance idea and I think the world will come to a halt if that were the case. Which would be nice every now and then but really, we need to think about this objectively.. And seeing from your "
" I don’t think you’ve even started campaigning for your idea. Perhaps you’re still on your make believe 5 yr sabbatical. ![]()
tsk, I am taking my vote back.
It was slightly chilly which is precisely why it was soooo lovely. We didn’t get rain, just cloudy, cool and breezy. Spent the entire afternoon near a lake in a park. Was lovely.
try honey and a lie in with some green tea and a good book / sit in front of the sofa with your favourite comfy blanket with some yummy chicken soup -
your cold sounds like a killer
hope u get well soon
inshaAllah
hai allah. kon tha saath park meiN, jheel kay kinaray, pehloo-ba-pehloo stroll kartay hooay? kitni manzleiN sar hooeeN, kitnay raastay taiH hooay? ![]()
Thanks. It’s much better now. Almost recovered.
I was going to happen some good bagels and lox breakfast but then it got cloudy and mood off ho gaya, then the sun came out and I went for a walk and had a italian sausage and peppers sandwich at a street fair. Then we had some sprinkles. Uske baad, I went to Barnes and Noble and bought a couple of books, had a caramel machiatto bocachino with a marachino. Walked outside and went shopping in Soho, the weather was cloudya dn the light that shined off the new Replay store was quite drab so we sat at an outdoor cafe and had a drink and watched people and dogs and dogs and people. Then it got dark and a bit chilly so we got in a cab which was playing bhangra and stopping short quite a bit. We decided to get out in nidtown and walk the rest of the way, it started raining and so we picked up some falafel platters from teh turkish place near by and went home. Sunday koh..we got up and had a venti mochachino and then.......
Matty, it's ok. No need to finish the story or anything.
Yea that's what i was thinking roman, that's why I stopped.
It’s sounds so romantic with all these unanswered questions…i’ll leave it that way.
hayaa,
Don’t lose heart.
See my main strategy is the drip effect, not only is it an idea of drip-like proportions but a slow and steady erosive approach at working away the work hours.
There are approx. 365.25 days in a year that makes about 8766 hours, now say the average person has 52 weekends off plus 25 days vacation and around 8 public holidays a year, that amounts to 137 days off a year.
Now you may think thats a lot of days off, it amounts to only 3288 hours.
Now further supposing the average person works an 8 hour day, I know many of the down-trodden masses work more, but say its 8 hours a day that amounts to 1826 hours worked.
Resulting in an effective 20.8% WDP (working day percentage).
I’ll campaign first to get this WDP reduced to 20% and we’ll go on from there.
Slowly, slowy catch a munky as my gran always used to say, she was the best munky catcher in her pind.
hai Matusi you are a machiatto person too?
^ hey hey..no need for that kind of language missy... i have never exerted any kind of pain for pleasure on myself. But I am young.

what happened here?
Thap, do you realize that bringing the WDP down to 20% only means 72.7 less hours worth of work? That’s only 3 days off in a whole year? One could get more time off by contracting the flu! ![]()
This drip effect strategy of yours will take forever to make any kind of reasonable impact on my life! We want 5 days off, with every other week off, that means 1152 hours a year. So you need to bring down your WDP by 13.14%. And at your drip rate, it’ll be a miracle if my grandchildren even get to see it span it out in their lifetime. Better come up with a different approach if you want my vote. Or I’ll be forced to vote for some munky.
Roman, trust me I am having a lot of fun. I will take math over neuroanatomy any day. Or would you rather have us discuss why you have fewer sulci on your cerebral hemispheres than most?
machiato: the M in S&M, no?
