Well, your Prophet was demeaned by those that despised him in much the same way you despise this maulana…When first Bibi Jawairyah :razi: was married to the Holy Prophet :saw: the Kuffar mocked him much like you are mocking this scholar for marrying a slave girl…But the Quran confirms that no Muslim can despise a Muslim and hence this maulana’s acts are appreciated by other Muslims…

However, I am very appreciative of this person’s contributions to society…Lal Masjid is renowned for providing sanctuary and food to those misplaced, Islamic education and setting high moral standards…

It is due to people like this Maulana that Islam is alive today otherwise how many of us are really interested in knowing how to perform a proper Islamic Nikaah…If it weren’t for the likes of these people, most of us wouldn’t be allowed to carry on the names of our fathers let alone forefathers…

Everyone has a right and a chance to start over and lead the right life. Everyone makes mistakes and has regrets about certain things. If they truly regret what they did, and have made effort to change their ways, ten wat difference does it make if the girl you marry had boyfriends or slept w/ other meN? As long as she's CHANGED her life, realized that what she did was wrong, then hey she has every right to find a man who will love and cherish and respect her...nothin wrong w/ that..

As for the argument going on here, that hte man whos actually calling for this is a publicity whore..wel I dont' know about that but hey, going off topic and hugely generalizing is an art of desis :)

Sara that is not even the argument here, the issue is that a two bit thug, who has been behind the kidnap and imprisonment of a few ladies and a baby, an idiot whose followers are illegally occupying a library, an idiot who just recently threatened suicide attacks, an idiot who has illegally taken over public property to expand his mosque...an idiot who has been called wrong by almost every scholar who has spoken up about this guy's actions.
