Harbor is pretty safe. don’t wander too far outside though. A few other decent areas in baltimore are fells point and canton but not as feature filled as the inner harbor. haven’t hung out in those two areas. i also havent spent much time in silver spring and don’t know arlington too well. I have spent a decent amount of time in bethesda and it is nice. Silver spring has as of late gone through a revitalization.
Fungo dont be chicken…explore the town…it’s pretty funky place. Don’t forget to go to B&O Rail and Babe Ruth museums.
There’s an indian restaurant near the harbor, go there, the receptionist (the girl who takes you to your seat) is hot and spicy. I was once there and I had Indian food 6 days in a row. Great food.
If you stay only within downtown baltimore you should be safe. If you go out of downtown area into other parts of the city, then all bets are off. There are some good hotels within this area where you can stay at...there are couple of very nice Marriotts, Hyat Regency, Rennaisance Harborplace Hotel, Holiday Inn, and Comfort Inn. Baltimore harbor is good and safe both during the day and at night . Places to see at the harbor include ESPN Zone, HardRock Cafe, National Aquarium and Fells Point. There are lots of good places to eat...both fast food and proper ones. There aren't any desi restaurants close by. The closest one from there is about 15 minutes drive from there.

Theres another Indian fusion restaurant called saffron whose chef owns the bombay gill chain of restaurants in teh baltimore area Im 90% sure.

There is this Akbar restaurant in DT Baltimore, I think on Charles street its a good desi place, and I think before Towson on York Road there is an Egyptian Halal restaurant, excellent Mediterranean cuisine.
I’ve been to food factory quite a few times. good food. cheap. I remember my white american friend had the lamp kebab and wouldn’t eat it because it looked like a certain male body part ahem. As far as ambassador, I’ve never been there. I like Bombay Grill in Baltimore. decent food, good ambience. I wonder what saffron the indian fusion restaurant is like.
