Things that you thought could never happen to you

Re: Things that you thought could never happen to you

Getting robbed on gun point. Happened twice in life.

Re: Things that you thought could never happen to you

loving someone in my teen years, someone who never existed

Agree with that but life is unexpected sometimes:)

Re: Things that you thought could never happen to you

Spending time on an online discussion forum~

Re: Things that you thought could never happen to you

be admitted into hospital 2ce in one year
marry a canadian
grow up on an internet forum (yeahyeah)
become a mod.
learn to cook
learn to bake a cake

If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.

My life was going well according to plan. Then from age 25, everything was re-written for me. Some great some not so.

But I have learnt to cope by taking 1 day at a time...finding my way out of bad times, or accepting them...they dont last forever. Similarly, I enjoy good times thoroughly...they dont last forever either.

:)

Re: Things that you thought could never happen to you

Let a man make a fool of me.

Re: Things that you thought could never happen to you

Things i thought would never happen:

Love someone, (twice!) :smack:
Be a chachaa 4th time now :yahoo:
Be declared worst and best employee of the company!
Suffer defeat to someone from my own side!
Fall of a motorbike!

this one thing .... now it has happened its hard to deal with

but some positives

i would get married to hubby ( always liekd him bt it seemed impossible)
get a good job
have my own place
be a good muslim ( continue to become better inshallah)

the above however cloudes over everything , and its not a good one :(

Re: Things that you thought could never happen to you

Falling in love

Didn't think it would ever happen for me.

Re: Things that you thought could never happen to you

Very interesting thread.

Re: Things that you thought could never happen to you

marrying just before the 19th birthday....

actually i did think of that when i was 14.

Never thought I would Go thru so much weird drama at such a young age.

Never thought that bcus of that drama, I could risk loosing my family.

Never thougt I could be so naive as to fall for my parents promises and say yes to a relationship that I knew would never be right for me.

Never thought I would have to worry every waking moment of my life that I might do or say something that would mean I will loose love and respect of my family.

Never thought I would have the job that im in today, And still have to worry about finding anohter job cus this is only fixed term.

Never thougt that a simple thing as Darood Shareef would help me out of so many difficulties.

Still I say Shuker Allhumdullilah for everything that I have today, and for anything that I may not have tmrw I only have myself to blame.

didnt think i’d fall in love either, not before marriage
but i did fall in love, literally fall and make a fool outta myself:hinna:
why does love have to be like this:crying:

masha'Allah

Be a houswife, washing tons of dishes and laundary every freaking day.

(not that I didn't want kids, but didn't know that kids come with a big bag of used diry cloths and are like those lil bird kids, allways their mouth open for any worms their mom's and dad's bring.)

Taking my religion seriously

It's funny because as those people who know me by my older username will tell u I was a complete hedonist in my early and mid-teens I was the least likely person to take religion seriously...

I sort of always believed because my mum is very spiritual but I always looked down on Molvi type families, they made me feel claustraphobic, dum ghut-ta tha mera... Then 9/11 and 7/7 happened, my religion which wasn't a big part of my identity till then was rubbed in my face everywhere, people judged it and me, I felt my identity was being attacked and I'm a proud person and it would infuriate and upset me...

...So I started reading up on Islam, and it gave me peace, comfort, secuirty and belonging in this big, mean and hostile world..

Now I'm quite religious, not 100% practicing (no bearded etc.) but it's the only thing which gives me a true sense of identity, comfort, solace and belonging anymore...

Getting married.

Alhhamdu-Lillaah it's the best thing I've ever done.

I just couldn't see myself married for a certain phase in my life but I've done it and I'm glad I did... I can have the gloomiest day and all I have to think about is my beloved wife to cheer me up and get me through it, she's my ray of sunshine in this mean, hostile world..
