Things I'm sick of

Re: Things I’m sick of

I used to get sick of everything around me. I paid too much attention to the news, politics, and society. Then I realized it was pointless. I still have opinions but I just really don’t care enough to share them anymore. The best thing I can do is improve myself and be the change I want to see in others. ok, that’s cheesy. -___-

Re: Things I’m sick of

Re: Things I’m sick of

A bit sick of me ownself. I need change for myself, thankfully it’s a bit more manageable than politics and poverty and corruption, etc etc.

Re: Things I’m sick of

Healthcare in the US. Only the rich and poor benefit; if you fall in the middle, you don’t qualify for any social resources but you can barely scrape by on paltry salaries.

Jobs.
Housing…renting is a ***** and buyiugn isn’t any easier

I wonder if things just seem harder now, or were always difficult but we were too young/out of it to really notice or feel it. I grew up very sheltered so…idk.

Re: Things I’m sick of

I have quite a few:

  • Women who make negative comments about how other women dress
  • People who cannot be happy for other people
  • Moving house and having to organise everything
  • Bitter people
  • The obsession with macarons
  • People who act as if only their experiences and opinions are valid
  • Seeing quinoa on every menu
  • People who insist on asking newlyweds when they plan to have kids

Re: Things I’m sick of

oh yeah. people who misspell my name. It’s Sara. It’s right there. It’s not Sarah. Esp in an email or on FB or something, it’s RIGHT THERE. How hard is it to type one less letter?

Re: Things I’m sick of

It is a myth that the poor benefit from us health care. Medicaid is being cut left and right.

Re: Things I’m sick of

oh no Southie, we disagree now. :snooty:

getting govt assistance has become a permanent lifestyle for many folks and not just a temporary thing for hard times which it was intended for.
whats the incentive for someone to look for a job if they can get everything for free including free healthcare, housing, food, and even cash assistance. And us tax payers end up paying for those who choose not to work. ofcourse not everyone on welfare is like that, but many have no intention of seeking employment for as long as they can receive free benefits.

Re: Things I’m sick of

In every segment there are folks who take advantage of the system. A person can work 60 hrs on minimum wage and still be dirt poor. She he has to depend on support from govt.

The govt right now runs prisons for profit. Throws people into prison for small offenses. Has cut education. Has cut medicaid. Corporations ship jobs overseas. CEO pay at all time high.

To beat up on the poor just because some take advantage of the system is being cruel. Nothing more to add.

Re: Things I’m sick of

ohmygod

i had a really horrible dream about climate change :expressionless:

the ice caps had like completely melted and things weren;t good…and earth was too cold…and then I did a research project on it..comparing Climate of the Cretaceous times to now and sea level rise and all that :|||

Re: Things I’m sick of

Yeah, but it’s still free health care. If you’re poor enough, you qualify for free health care. But go even a little bit above, and you don’t qualify, instead you qualify for plans that cost an arm and a leg to maintain/use.

I dunno. I can never take a hard stance on this issue, you have those welfare queens and stuff, but then you also have people who DON’T want to have to rely on it but do and it’s a struggle to get out of that crap cycle.

Re: Things I’m sick of

Sick of the pretenders.

Wish they would leave me alone !!
