Haris, note the last part of the section you highlighted, I blame the politicians for it as much.
May be the correct title would have been, things i would have liked to see. No proper succession planning in the last five years left a gap which allowed the tried and tested failed leadership back in the political arena.
Some one posted above that BB and Nawaz Sharif may also have thought of themselves as saviors, I dont agree with that. None of their actions suggest that, their efforts were more focused towards more power and how to sustain it, Musharraf on the otherhand became the absolute authority from the get go and some delegation would have helped the institutions to grow.
