Re: Thin and Fat! Advise please
Ok Cheethah. Your advise is also good.
I think i didnt make myself clear with respect to what i meant by 'sprinting'. I should have stated that 'sprinting' in interval training isnt like the '100m dash sprint'. In interval training sprinting is actually meant to be a sudden 'very fast jog' rather than a full out sprint- that of course would burn out you and your energy resources and prevent you from continuing.
Personally about the lactic acid, i have never experienced this problem. This could be due to the fact that i had already been treadmilling and getting my system used to high energy workouts. Also i had already stated in my advise that no-one should implement high intensity interval training straight on but build themselves up towards it for safety reasons.
As a rule of thumb, I would say that whatever the the workout intensity being implemented, when you break sweat that is the sign that you ahve worked hard and made a productive session.
A lot of people just go to the gym, and walk for for 30 or even 40 minutes anddontbreakadropof sweat actually dont knwo that they are not really benfiting from thierworkout.
A good workout is meant to be hard..and immidietly after hard and sweaty workout one feels the related satisfaction.
Cheetah, i have tried high intensity excercises other than interval training, and i know 10 minutes of rope skipping is considerably more difficult than 10 minutes of interva training.
However. for myself i have found out of many excercises that the treadmill and interval training with the tredmill is the of the most convinient and effective way to loose weight. Moreover, i just had a 15 minute training session yesterday and belive me including this and a day after every proper session i notice my trousers and shirts loosing on me a noticeble amount...
Ofcourse there are other high intensity workouts such as the ones youve stated, but i sure you would agree for the novice these would be harder to implement than the treadmil and rather to put them off alltogether.
To O.P; i strongly recommend that you consult a fitness instructor, who would be able to, looking a your particular situation, sort out a tailored plan for meeting your goals.
