Is this the U.N. open meeting?
Saw a bit of it on MSNBC yesterday..and it included the Iraqi Ambassadors Words.. and I thought disrespectful commentary by LLoyd Holt? (I think) of MSNBC?
I didn't see people walking out. I searched CSPAN etc to try to observe the entire meeting. I guess I don't have the appropriate channel, though I have seen U.N. proceedings before.
I immediately wrote to MSNBC.TV and advised them of their responsibility as a news media. Also of the fact that after all, we are bombing his country? Ummm I think I'd be a little pissed and say so.
And advised him that we are not making any friends by doing this and would help if the news media could possibly empathize with that and report the facts without being antagonistic and onesided?
That is what I believe responsible media is supposed to do.
I reminded them that their commentary is a reflection of the people of the U.S. I do not want to be part of that reflection.
I would also like to say that:
If in fact there were people walking out then they were not responsible thoughtful people and do not deserve having or being a part of the U.N.
In fact uncivilized and are making the utmost laughable impression of people in the U.S.
No wonder they hate us.

UNITED NATIONS - The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations (news - web sites) walked out of a debate on the Iraqi war Thursday after Iraq (news - web sites)'s ambassador accused the United States of trying to exterminate the Iraqi people.
Well, I don’t think the U.S. is trying to exterminate anyone. But still laughable that they couldn’t listen. Makes American’s look like fools in worlds eyes and in mine and I am an American.
If someone accuses one of attempting to extermite another? And one walks out of the meeting? That is horrid. It could be taken as if almost as if agreeing, or be taken as horribly offended.
I don’t know what I would do, I think I would stay and listen and argue my point. I don’t think I would walk out. I know I wouldn’t. I couldn’t.
I think if true those in government haven’t given enough listen to other opinions and that makes me angry and shamed. The pretend to hear? but they don’t listen. Maybe they don’t even hear. I wonder if they can hear? They don’t know the damage they are doing to AvgAmericans. I think they have no clue?
Makes me think they are buffons who don’t know what they are doing.
