I'm talking about a fix that can be me made right now. Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline might not materialize for another 10 years. What we need right now is smart management of the rare but much needed resource. The common man is facing this problem right now and he's miserable.
In Punjab, people are facing gas load shedding. Train System from Steel Town to Tower, and Gulshan-e-Memar to Tower may helpful.
Most of the gas stoves in our household are not energy efficient, they use 100% methane gas, while modern stoves can reduce methane consumption up to 80%. Believe me if all the stoves replaced by energy efficient system, transport system would never upset.
But I don't hear any statements or suggestions from him. Not being in the government doesn't mean he can't talk about important issues. Or form pressure groups, to file a petition or something.

I agree with the Powerful guy. Buses should have access to CNG. The CNG supply for buses should be GUARANTEED. It is easy to estimate the quantity needed per week or month. So directcthe supply to meet bus requirement hold 20% more in reserve. If any leftovers let them cars use it.
Also, subsidize the heck out of public transportation. And charge an arm and a leg for cars.

Karachi’s roads are filled with cars and we’re a poor country, huh. I’m guessing 5% of Karachiites hog 100% of Karachi’s roads and I don’t blame them, because the state of our buses is deplorable.
True. It becomes a bad situation that feeds on itself. Less money spent on infrastructure and public transportation. More cars. More clogging. Till there is gridlock. South Asia needs to wake up. Depressing.
The people with money don't seem to understand this, and they're the one who have the clout to get this fixed. Hey it'd leave more room for their Merc and Beamers. All they have to do is convince the Mehran owners to take Public Transport by improving it.
