I had a jhoomar/ tikka theme for my mehndi.. All the ladies had to wear either one.. Everyone held it and the function was a biiiig success!!!

I’m doing a carnival theme for mine - a desi carnival. We’re gonna have those popcorn containers, s’mores stations, mini burgers, photo booths, etc.. no clowns and things though.

sometimes i miss the simplicity and innocence of puranay zamanay ki mehendis, when our khalas and phophos used to come out in a simple yellow dress, wearing kolapuris or khussas and sit under a palloo. nothing was extravagant or uber planned and still so special and heart warming.
Just saying..
not that i will have a similar mehendi either but… the simplicity was just so beautiful.

i have seen girls being carried on boards and this wooden flower sort of thing.
Have also seen girls coming on those fancy horse carts and rickshaws.
At a celebrity mehendi, the bride and groom came together on a bicycle.
