Yes, when compared to American lives they are less important. 3 people die in a ferry accident, is not much of news in India. But 3 people getting hurt in the US on the highway makes national news. Terrorists killing muslims in gujrat, or terrorists killing hindus in kashmir seems to matter little to a billion people. 3000 people killed by terrorists in the US, got ithe entire country mobilized.
Matty not to get more personal...but I have no choice. Do you honestly believe an american life is more important than any of your relatives back in india? I only bring this up to discuss the "human" side of this argument. Life to me is pricelss....all life be it american, Indian, Pakistani or Arab. You cannot tell me that people in Iraq or Afghanistan do not feel the same pain or emotions when their loved ones are killed by a "stray" bomb. How do you propose we will have those people understand the concepts of democracy, freedom and pursuit of happiness. When they have seen nothing but destruction all their lives and then come the "liberators" and do the same thing....they will lose all faith in humanity and will be easy targets for terrorist recruits.
The question you posed was whether life in general in India as valauble as that in America. I gave you an answer. The life of my relatives in India is still not as valuable as the lives of my family and friends in America. I live here not there....while their life is more valuable than that of someone in Pakistan or a pakistanis life more valuable than someone in Burkhina Faso. (sorry fraudz, will give you the royalty later).
