Over 70 taken into custody during search
RAWALPINDI: City police in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies on Saturday took into custody more than 70 suspected persons during a search operation conducted in different parts of Cantonment Board areas to hunt down terrorists. Police officials told Daily Times that SSP (Operation) Yasin Farooq and SP Potohar Rana Shahid were supervising the search operation conducted in RA Bazaar, Dhok Banaras, Shahla Valley and Dhok Chaudharian. They said the police conducted door-to-door search operation and taken into custody over 70 persons on suspicion of terrorism, who now had been shifted to different police stations for questioning. They said that suspected persons would be released if found not guilty. staff report
